Alpha Childcare and Community Development Organization (ACCOD) is a non government based in Uganda.
ACCOD was established in 2001 with the aim of upholding the sanctity of human life by meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of children, women, youths and generally people facing welfare problems.
Our objectives.
- To promote and protect the rights of vulnerable people.
- To improve livelihoods of the poor through sustainable social economic initiatives.
- To build and strengthen community capacities for self- reliance through development programs.
- To strengthen and institutionalize leadership and management systems of the organization.
Impact of our programs since our establishment.
- Over 1250 OVCs have been enabled to access and finish education.
- Over 210 children have been supported to access specialised medical care.
- Over 812 girls have been supported to access and finish education.
- 15 schools have been supported to have better infrastructure and other school items.
- 350 poor households and farmers’ groups, have been supported with improved farming and agriculture projects.
- 15 granny and widow headed households have been supported with better housing.
