HIV/AIDS CARE AND SUPPORT PROJECTS

In 2018, an estimated 1.4 million people were living with HIV, and an estimated 23,000 Ugandans died of AIDS-related illnesses.1

The epidemic is firmly established in the general population. As of 2018, the estimated HIV prevalence among adults (aged 15 to 49) stood at 5.7%. Women are disproportionately affected, with 8.8% of adult women living with HIV compared to 4.3% of men.

Through our projects we endeavour to contribute to the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS infections through;

  1. Community awareness campaigns
  2. Sensitizing youths through school visits
  3. Prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV/AIDS.
  4. Conduct home based care and support to people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
